Our centenary activities in 2009, celebtating 100 years of scouting in the Hinckley area.

The current and past Scouters of Burbage joined a huge reunion party at Fox coverts on 25th April to celebrate the centenary.

A centenary tea towel with self portraits of all our members was made

One of our Cub members won a competition to design a centenary badge that the whole district can wear - all 1000 members !

Our website got a fresh new look for the Hinckley District Scouting centenary year

We attended a radio interview at BBC Radio Leicester discussing the Centenary events on 15th March 2009

Members of our Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer groups joined in at the special centenary camp held at fox coverts during the May bank holiday weekend.

Our newly planted centenary tree was unveiled to the young members of the group by founding member of Burbage Scouting Mr Jack Eady (who also opened our Scout Hq in 1985)

We planted our centenary tree within Hollycroft park, with the Mayor and Mayoress of Hinckley
